Business Travel Part 3 — The Airport
You‘re leaving for the airport on your first ever business trip. You’ve not flown for a year or two and are a bit rusty. Here are a few tips to help make things a little smoother.
Documents
Remember your passport and boarding pass. My passports live in a pocket in my hand-luggage, so I always have them to hand. As a business traveller, you can sometimes get two passports so that one can be sent away to have visas added while you travel with the other. Check with your own passport office for how you do this.
You can print or download your boarding pass at home. Alternatively, you can get a boarding pass from the assistant at the bag drop, or the self-check-in machines.
Getting there
You’ll either drive to the airport or use a taxi. Or use public transport but this is not convenient for the early commuter flights. I drive if I’m on a short trip or use a taxi for longer ones. In my case, longer trips usually mean longer flights…
